Delivering Strength Through Excellence
THE PIONEER IN EXTRUDED ALUMINUM CONSTRUCTION
A recognized industry leader, E-ONE was the first fire truck manufacturer to build extruded aluminum cabs and bodies. The all-aluminum design is the result of our advanced engineering and pioneering innovation to build strength and durability into every product.
CAB CONSTRUCTION
- The most demanding jobs call for the strongest equipment. That’s why E-ONE builds cabs with a roll cage-type design and heavy-duty materials, for strength and safety. Thicker aluminum extrusions are used throughout, including the center of the roof, which can support five times the NFPA/SAE load requirements—an industry-exclusive feature. Contributing to the strength are vertical extrusions at the rear of the cab and a wishbone subframe with rails that run the length of the cab.
- Perimeter roof extrusions with integral drip rails
- Mid-cab roof support structure utilizing 3”x3” vertical posts and 3”x3”x 3/8” wall horizontal beam
- Vertical extrusions at rear of cab tie roof structure to subframe
- Heavy wall wishbone subframe extrusions run entire length of cab
- 3/16” plate on entire outside surface, including roof and doors
TORQUE BOX CHASSIS
Part of our unique DNA is the E-ONE torque box chassis that runs the entire length of the chassis, providing strength and stability for aerial operations. This allows our aerials to support up to 1,305 lbs. on the end of the aerial without twisting or lifting any support legs. It’s so stable, the front wheels can even be lifted off the ground if the terrain requires. The 2.5:1 structural safety factor of the aerial device is also designed into the E-ONE integral torque box chassis to deliver a solid foundation for aerial operations. The torque box chassis, combined with other exclusive E-ONE engineering features, truly makes our trucks the powerhouse in your firehouse.
ANTI-CORROSION SYSTEM
Emergencies demand equipment that stands up to every challenge, every time. That’s why we engineer our products with the E-ONE Anti-Corrosion System. It reduces or eliminates corrosion through a combination of design features, material choices and hardened electrical. Every detail of the E-ONE Anti-Corrosion System is meticulously engineered to provide lasting durability and performance.
- Galvanized and powder-coated frame rails standard
- Geomet coated bolts for chassis construction
- Integrated all-aluminum subframe and body
- Our stainless steel bodies use marine-grade stainless steel subframe
- Stainless steel bodies available with fiberglass reinforced body panels (FRP)
- Corrosion-resistant air tanks are powder coated on the inside
- Aluminized steel or stainless steel fuel tanks with stainless steel fuel tank straps
- Hardened electrical system
CRISSCROSS UNDERSLUNG JACKS
Tight spaces are no match for the E-ONE crisscross underslung jacks. Featuring a crisscross aerial design with a jack spread as narrow as 11′ (depending on the model), these innovative jacks deliver one of the narrowest operational footprints in the industry. Their low-profile design not only allows the jacks to be fully extended in confined areas for unrestricted aerial operation, but it also provides additional compartmentation and contributes to a lower center of gravity for improved vehicle handling.
Durable Body Designs—Choose the material that works best for your needs
You have unique requirements, so E-ONE offers body design and fabrication processes, customized to your department’s specific needs, with one of the industry’s most durable frames.
THE MOST ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIBLE WAY TO TEST YOUR ARFF VEHICLE’S FOAM SYSTEM
The ECOLOGIC® mobile test system is an input-based testing system designed to provide fire departments the means to test the accuracy of their foam system without the expense or environmental impact of using foam to perform an output-based test. A single cart can be used to test multiple trucks and is an excellent system for retrofitting vehicles currently in your fleet.
