E-ONE’s Select Series HP 78 features a 750 lb. tip load for increased rescue capability and additional reach of similar products in its class. The ToughTruss™ ladder design features extruded aluminum construction that exceeds NFPA requirements with a 2.5:1 structural safety factor. The aerial features a fly section over 25" wide, allowing for stokes baskets to fit between the handrails, simplifying rescue operations. Both Typhoon and 100" wide Cyclone cabs are available with 58" and 67.5" lengths to meet department needs. With the combination of full depth compartmentation, SideStacker™ hose bed, 500-gallon tank and generous ground ladder storage, the HP 78 outperforms, outmaneuvers and outreaches the competition.

Features and Benefits

Extruded Aluminum Aerial

The aluminum aerial will not rust, need painting, or require rung cover replacement delivering a lower life-cycle cost than other aerials on the market.

Tip Load

The HP 78’s unrestricted 750 lb. tip load provides enhanced rescue operations, especially when extended at low angles. Flowing water the tip load is 500 lbs. at any angle or position.

Extruded Aluminum Body

Featuring full-depth / full height compartments on the left side and a tall full-depth compartment ahead of the wheel on the right side, the HP 78 has ample space to store equipment.

SideStacker Hose bed

The SideStacker hose bed can be re-loaded without having to raise the aerial. Optional side doors allow for access from ground level.

Additional Aerial Controls

Available options for aerial controls included at the pump panel for limited manpower operations and at the ladder tip for precise aerial positioning.
