Richardson Fire Department has 160 career firefighters who operate out of six fire stations to serve a population of 127,000 across 28.6 square miles. The department responds to approximately 11,800 incidents each year. Additional services include a Hazmat Team made of trained/certified Hazmat Techs, SWAT team medics for each shift, and a special OPS station and team who are trained and certified in high angle rescue, swift water and confined space.
