The Sleepy Hollow Volunteer Fire Department operates three stations, 14 miles north of New York City along the Historic Hudson River, in a largely developing district.
Staffing more than 100 volunteers, the firefighters employ the use of several engines, a rescue truck, tower ladder and two marine units to serve a population of 10,000. The 2.2 square miles of land incurs 300-400 incidents annually.
