Situated halfway between Halifax and Truro in Nova Scotia, Enfield was once home to a prominent railway station and river canal system on the Shubenacadie River in Canada. The Enfield Volunteer Fire Department, established in 1957, operates a single station in Nova Scotia with two career and 42 volunteer firemen.
