Department Profile
The Silver Spring Community Fire Company protects a population of 18,000 in an area of 33 square miles in Mechanicsburg, PA. Operating from one fire station, the 50 volunteer firefighters respond to approximately 800 incidents per year. This department purchased one of the first E-ONE pumper tankers ever built in 1993 and that truck is still in service today, as one of its four E-ONE fire trucks.
